Strangely this ep, that contains some of the brand new songs written for the year 2008, has been self produced and recorded, without any label support. Though Ancestral Legacy – once known as Permafrost – have a long experience, that shines through this work, that introduces you 4 new songs (of which an instrumental) and the re-edition of “Atrapada En Pesadillas”, already released onthe debut “Magic Illusions” and here sung by the guest Isadora Cortina. Moreover the technical skills of the band are high, as well as the production, superior even to some more “professional”. If you want to discover a fault in this “Trapped Within The Words” you must admit there's little originality, simce their gothic metal with progressive edges and black roots has already been heard many times before, even recently; but not always with the same decency of results. The Norwegian fivepiece has one single fault, that of doing a good work without excellency, and among so much crap I don't see why they must remain without a record deal.
