Fast, wicked and well played grindcore united with a good quantity of iconoclast rage is the visiting card for Grimness 69, a rather known trio in the underground and that now is back with quite a professional work of strong impact. The style coordinates of the band are the usual, with a natural born love for early Napalm Death, for Anal Cunt and for the crowd of bands that in the pats and present dedicated to such borderline sounds. A huge homage is paid, then, to Italian Cripple Bastards, true fathers of the Mediterranean hard core acts. The album is ferocious and well played, with frequent tempo changes and an accurate fitting use of the vocals. Also the riffing is excellent, always ready to get across the borders, and a rhythmical section which works like a clock. “Crimness Avenue 69” adds nothing to what grind core has already said, but allows us to appreciate a band that knows what it’s about and learnt to easily manage a certain matter which is not easy, and that often risks to fall into the pure pointless noise.
