“Remnants Of A Diabolical History”, released in 2006, is a compilation, a best of Nominon, dedicated band to a mixture of sounds between death metal scores and some pure thrash metal attacks, that has got a very long career on the shoulders, being alive since 1993, having released several demos, splits and Eps and just one album, if you exclude the new “Terra Necrosis” released in 2007. the work features many unreleased songs, and they’re the best, and taken outtakes from some past projects of the band, showing us a dedicated band to an old shaped Swedish death they update with thrash edges and with a worthy disruptive attitude of punk bands. The result here is very heterogeneous obviously, being some faraway songs in the conception and realization, but what you may notice is the savage fury charge that has never left the band, which remains violent and fast in all the offered tracks. “Remnants Of A Diabolical History” is a good jump into the early Swedish death metal – that of Dismember and Unleashed, just to mention two names – that actually says nothing original but can be appreciated for aggressive charge and will to strike. A product for fanatics, expecting the new work to come out.
